Kentucky Basketball’s head coach, John Calipari, shares a special bond with his longtime friend, Drake. Recently, the Kentucky Wildcats received a unique gift from the Canadian artist: their own Nike NOCTA Glide PE sneakers.
In a touching video, Calipari eagerly informs his players about the surprise. "My guy got you each a pair. Drake sent these to you," he announces with excitement.
These distinctive sneakers, first revealed by Lil Yachty in July, feature the school’s official logos on the midsole inserts. It’s uncertain if they will be available for purchase in the future.
Inspired by the classic Zoom Flight 95, the NOCTA Glide is designed for the basketball court. It’s likely we’ll see these sneakers in action when the players hit the court.
